Hippocratic AI secures funding for generative AI agents expansion

Hippocratic AI has raised $126 million in a Series C funding round, valuing the company at $3.5 billion and bringing its total funding to $404 million. The round was led by Avenir Growth with participation from General Catalyst, Kleiner Perkins, Premji Invest, and WellSpan Health. The company, which develops clinically safe generative AI agents for healthcare, plans to use the new capital to expand global deployments, invest further in its Polaris Safety Constellation Architecture, and pursue mergers and acquisitions. In just 15 months since launch, Hippocratic AI has partnered with over 50 health systems, payers, and pharmaceutical firms across six countries, developed more than 1,000 clinical use cases, and completed over 115 million patient interactions without any safety issues.

Avenir Growth co-founder Andrew Sugrue praised Hippocratic AI as a leader in “agentic healthcare,” emphasizing that its rigorous safety standards have made it a trusted partner for healthcare organizations worldwide. CEO Munjal Shah said the company’s mission is to bring “an era of abundance” to healthcare by using generative AI to improve patient outcomes safely and effectively. The funding follows a $141 million Series B earlier this year, which expanded Hippocratic AI’s reach into new healthcare sectors and global markets.
