Hippocratic AI announced five new senior leadership appointments to expand its life sciences business as it continues growing its generative AI platform for pharma, biotech, and medtech organizations. The hires follow the company’s acquisition of Grove AI in early 2026 and the launch of Polaris Life Sciences 5.0, reinforcing Hippocratic AI’s effort to position its conversational AI agents as infrastructure for regulated healthcare and life sciences workflows. The company said the new executives will strengthen its clinical oversight, compliance operations, engineering capabilities, and commercial growth strategy as demand rises for safe AI systems in highly regulated healthcare environments.
The appointments include Dr. Toby Patterson as Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs, where he will oversee medical affairs, quality, and pharmacovigilance strategy, and Sulaiman Qazi as Senior Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer for Life Sciences, responsible for compliance and regulatory governance for Polaris-based AI agents. Hippocratic AI also named John Kutz as Chief Growth Officer for Biotech to lead commercial expansion, Himanshu Sharma as Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships to grow ecosystem partnerships, and Sri Subramaniam as Vice President of Engineering for Life Sciences to develop sector-specific AI agents for pharma, biotech, and medtech customers. The company said these additions support its broader focus on building safe, non-diagnostic, patient-facing AI healthcare agents while maintaining strict limits against using its systems for prescribing or diagnosis.
