Entrepreneur, CEO, And Co-Founder of Hippocratic AI

Another AI unicorn has secured 800 million in financing, with a valuation of 25 billion. Both Google and NVIDIA have invested.

Hippocratic AI, a U.S.-based generative AI healthcare company, has completed a $126 million Series C funding round at a $3.5 billion valuation, more than doubling its valuation since January 2025. The round, led by CapitalG (Google’s growth fund) with continued participation from NVIDIA and other major investors, brings the company’s total funding to $404 million. Founded in early 2023 by CEO Munjal Shah alongside physicians, hospital administrators, and AI researchers from institutions such as Stanford, Johns Hopkins, and Microsoft, the company develops generative AI healthcare agents built on its proprietary Polaris architecture. Its latest version, Polaris 3.0, includes 22 large models with 4.2 trillion parameters and supports multilingual, high-accuracy patient interactions. Hippocratic AI’s agents perform non-diagnostic, patient-facing tasks such as scheduling, nursing assistance, chronic disease management, and readmission prevention, and the company reports 115 million clinical interactions with zero safety incidents.

The new funding will support global expansion, mergers and acquisitions, and continued investment in product development and safety testing. Hippocratic AI has launched 1,000+ AI healthcare agents and partnered with 50+ institutions including Cleveland Clinic, Northwestern Medicine, Ochsner Health, and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, which also participated in the round. Industry observers view the company’s rapid valuation growth as evidence of strong market fit and rising demand for safe, scalable AI in healthcare. Andreessen Horowitz partner Julie Yoo noted that Hippocratic AI’s growth highlights the need to address global shortages of clinicians, while PitchBook analysts said its partnerships and safety-centric approach have driven its commercial momentum. As investment in AI healthcare intensifies—with 46% of global venture funding in Q3 2025 flowing into AI—the competition among generative AI players like Hippocratic AI is expected to grow increasingly fierce.
