UAE: AI healthcare agent speaks 15 languages, provides real-time support to patients

Burjeel Holdings has announced a partnership with Silicon Valley-based Hippocratic AI to deploy a new generation of multilingual, empathetic AI healthcare agents across the UAE. These generative AI agents, capable of speaking over 15 languages including Emirati Arabic, Spanish, and Mandarin, are designed to offer emotionally intelligent, real-time support for patients across specialties such as oncology, cardiology, neurology, and orthopaedics. Integrated into Burjeel’s app, website, and call centres, the AI agents will provide assistance with appointment scheduling, risk assessments, follow-ups, and health education, all tailored to regional and cultural contexts to improve patient engagement and operational efficiency.

At the core of this initiative is Hippocratic AI’s Polaris 3.0 platform, which powers the agents with advanced supervisory models for critical healthcare functions such as medication, nutrition, labs, and hospital protocols. Having already been tested in over 1.85 million patient interactions, the platform boasts a 99.38% clinical accuracy rate and high patient satisfaction. Munjal Shah, Hippocratic AI’s CEO, emphasized the goal of delivering compassionate and effective care at scale, while Burjeel Group CEO John Sunil highlighted the partnership as a strategic step toward harmonizing AI innovation with personalized healthcare delivery to reduce wait times and enhance outcomes.
