Hippocratic AI, a healthcare technology company, has received an additional $17 million investment from NVentures, NVIDIA’s venture capital arm, as part of an extended Series A funding round. This investment, along with contributions from 7Wire Ventures’ Leo Shapiro and Greycroft, has increased the total investment in Hippocratic AI to approximately $137 million. The initial phase of the Series A round was co-led by Premji Invest and General Catalyst, with participation from various other investors, contributing to a combined valuation of $500 million.
The partnership between Hippocratic AI and NVIDIA will focus on new technological developments, including the use of NVIDIA NIM microservices to enhance the company’s production platform for improved conversational capabilities. Hippocratic AI is also leveraging NVIDIA technologies to advance medical domain specialization in Large Language Models (LLMs) through automated speech recognition technology. The company aims to create the first safety-focused LLM for healthcare, with the goal of making healthcare expertise more accessible globally and potentially revolutionizing healthcare accessibility and outcomes.
