Hippocratic AI to launch upgraded AI models

Hippocratic AI is set to launch its next-generation artificial intelligence models, introducing new features tailored for healthcare systems, insurance providers, and pharmaceutical companies. The upgraded models will enhance patient interactions by triple-checking lab results and medications while seamlessly directing patients to human support when necessary. Additionally, the company is developing healthcare-specific AI tools to assist with clinical tasks, such as post-operative check-ins and health risk assessments. These advancements will be available to customers in April 2025, entering a competitive landscape where major players like Epic, Salesforce, and Microsoft have also introduced AI-driven healthcare solutions.

The company has refined its large language models through increased patient interactions, enhancing capabilities such as real-time language adaptation, voicemail automation, call reconnection, and follow-up text messaging. CEO Munjal Shah emphasized that these improvements aim to optimize patient communication and care. Hippocratic AI’s expansion follows its successful Series B funding round in January, raising $141 million from investors like Kleiner Perkins, General Catalyst, Nvidia, and WellSpan Health. Despite securing a valuation of $1.6 billion, the company faces growing competition in the healthcare AI market as industry giants accelerate their own AI innovations.
